Background

Clara is the Managing Director of Smart Giraffe Consulting Limited. She has more than 15 years of experience combining external audit, internal audit, internal control review, enterprise risk assessment and ESG reporting. Prior to joining Smart Giraffe Consulting Limited in Hong Kong, she was a Senior Manager of Risk Advisory Service in a leading accounting firm.

Clara joined one of the Big Four for a few years after her graduation, where she was responsible for supervising auditors in a number of audit assignments for both listed companies, large private enterprises, as well as listing candidates (i.e. IPO assignments). Clara also worked in the commercial field at the internal audit department of multi-national conglomerate, major utility company and a NGO in Hong Kong. 

Clara has extensive experience in risk advisory services. She has got substantial exposure in internal control system reviews (including IPO assignments (PN21)), internal control review of resumption of trading, AUP review, enterprise risk assessment, and assistance in write-up of the ESG report) which are including but not limited to the fields of retail and manufacturing, trading, food and beverage, telecommunications, construction engineering, clinical service and hospitality industries etc. in Hong Kong, the PRC, Singapore and all over the world. 

Currently, Clara lectures on internal audit at HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education and teaches an ESG course at a prominent educational center.
